Structure of Qualifications

The Level 2 Certificate is designed for those people who are actively involved, or expecting to be involved in the food manufacture process ‘at the sharp end’, whether that be working in food preparation, wholesale production, food processing or any type of manufacturing activity, while the Level 2 diploma is for those with a well established knowledge of their industry who want to enhance their skills. Level3 is for those who are supervising or managing a food manufacturing process or facility.

The qualifications are made up of a series of mandatory and optional Units, and these can be customised to suit both the employer and the individual.

The Programme

We structure the assessment process around the needs of the individual. Assessments can be carried out in the workplace, on site or at the customers’ premises, and we can cover any UK geographic area.

Learners receive a comprehensive induction with a full analysis of current skill levels
Learners are seen monthly by appointment and will work with a qualified assessor with wide experience of the qualification

Typically, a level 2 award will take about six months to complete while a level 3 programme will take between nine months and a year, but the timescale is flexible to take into account the learner’s job role and circumstances.

Costs and Funding

The qualifications have the potential for funding depending upon the learners’ employment and relative experience. We will be pleased to advise on an individual basis. There is also an apprenticeship pathway to qualification achievement, and, again we will be pleased to give advice and guidance as appropriate.
